Women and Nutrition

From their traditional roles as homemakers, cooks, and mothers to their contributions to food science and home economics, women have a long history in nutrition. In recognition of Women's History Month in March 2012, two of the cases in the original Food Revolutions exhibition were dedicated to the theme of women and food. These exhibits explored how women have overcome obstacles related to war, budgets, and food shortages to feed their families, as well as the unique roles they have played as researchers and scientists at the University of Missouri.
