MU Libraries has set up a trial for APA PsycTESTS until December 31st, 2021.

APA PsycTests indexes a wide variety of test types and instruments including aptitude tests, personality scales and cognitive functioning measures. Research instruments available as PDF downloads or multimedia files.

You can provide feedback on the APA PsycTESTS here.*

MU Libraries has a new agreement with Company of Biologists waiving the fee for open access articles making it easier for you to make your article instantly available worldwide.

What does that mean for you?

Our new agreement allows authors who publish in their journals to publish open access, meaning your journal article would be freely available to anyone around the world instantly after publication, for free. You also keep your author rights. This includes articles already published in 2021.

With MU’s November and December breaks quickly approaching, Mizzou students and faculty are about to have a lot of free time on their hands. If you are looking for some fun and simple activities to fill your days with, here are a few DIY articles perfect for your open schedules.

Homecoming Coloring book: This book is a collection of pages taken from past editions of the Savitar (University of Missouri’s yearbook from 1894-2005), pages from the Missouri Outlaw (a student magazine), and Showme Magazine. Each month we provide an overview of University of Missouri School of Medicine faculty-authored articles in medicine and related fields as well as a featured article with the highest journal impact factor.

This month’s featured article, “Starch Capped Atomically Thin CuS Nanocrystals for Efficient Photothermal Therapy”, was co-authored by Dr. Lixin Ma of the Department of Radiology. The article was published in Small (impact factor 13.281 of in 2020).

Note that Dr. James Stevermer of the Department of Family & Community Medicine had another USPSTF guideline published in JAMA: Aspirin Use to Prevent Preeclampsia and Related Morbidity and Mortality: US Preventive Services Task Force Recommendation Statement
