The Gospel Voice, Vol. 1, No. 6 (June 1988)
The Gospel Voice, a now-defunct monthly publication devoted to Christian gospel music, was first published in 1988 by Music City News in Nashville, Tennessee. It was an arts and culture magazine which approached the subject of gospel music from a faith-based perspective. The Gospel Voice published music reviews, industry news, and celebrity reportage for the gospel music industry. Its regular sections included "trade news", "industry updates", reviews of recent LP releases, a forum, and a cover story--usually but not always a group or artist biography.
