Call for Library Committees

It’s the time of year to volunteer for Library Committees. Please send in your self-nominations to me by May 31. Information and current committee lists can be found on the staff web page at http://libraryguides.missouri.edu/staff/committees. New terms will start on July 1, 2018.

There are openings on the following committees:

  •                 Diversity and Inclusion Action Committee
  •                 Staff Development Committee
  •                 Undergraduate Research Paper Contest Committee
  •                 Ellis Library Space and Facilities Advisory Committee
  •                 Instruction Committee (committee charge attached)

 

Additionally, the Staff Advisory Group is seeking nominations and self-nominations for the vice chair and recorder positions. Elections will be held after May 31 so that you can vote on those nominated. New terms will start on July 1, 2018.

Mary McFillen has accepted a new position with the MU Veterinary Health Center. Her last day at the Journalism Library will be Friday, May 18.

Noah Hartsfield has accepted a new position as a Sourcing Specialist with University of Missouri System HR. His last day in Ellis Library will be Friday, May 18.

PeopleSoft Upgrade, April 27-30

In order to execute a minor upgrade and some bug fixes to PeopleSoft 9.2, MyHR and PeopleSoft HR will be unavailable from Friday, April 27th at 5pm to the morning of Monday, April 30th.  If you would normally access either system over the weekend you will be unable to do so during the downtime.  Please record any time worked during the outage in another format and enter it once the system is live again on Monday.  Supervisors, please be sure that your staff and students are all aware of the outage.  If you have any questions, please contact Noah Hartsfield.
