Binding: red morocco with gold tooling surrounding a central green leather diamond onlay with diapered star pattern; similar green leather onlays in all four corners.
Illumination: f. 1: Painted red border with stylized gold decorative pattern; in the center of each side of the border, a roundel featuring birds and insects native to the Iberian peninsula. Clockwise from top: a Eurasian hoopoe, a Eurasian magpie, a red-legged partridge, and a European goldfinch. In the corners of the border, en brunaille, on blue grounds: a crowned bust of a woman (top left), a crowned bust of a man (top right), a seated female nude under a tree (bottom right), and a semi-reclining male nude under a tree (bottom left). The border and compartments are framed and segmented in gold. Large blue initial Y on a gold ground, flanked by peacocks and surmounted by a white moth with yellow and orange spots, unidentified species. Majuscule inscription "[Y]O CRISTOVAL DE AVLESTIA" in gold on blue ground.
