Binding: limp vellum with remnants of yellow and red silk ties, slightly later paper label attached. Lead seal attached with twisted green, yellow, and red silk cord.
Illumination: f 1v: Deep gilt border with flowers, fruit, acanthus, and birds. Large initial D of “Don Carlos” [Charles V] contains a blue shield with a Habsburg double eagle in red and gold.
