The Asian Affairs Center is looking for Columbia community members to befriend Korean teachers participating in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Participants will meet with the TESOL students informally 1 or 2 times per week, from January 7- February 5. The Columbia ambassadors must be able to attend the Kick-off event on January 9th at 5 pm in S304 Memorial Union. Students who would like to take part in this program must be open-minded, energetic, friendly, patient and responsible.

If you are interested, please contact Christine Hwang at the Asian Affairs Center at MU N49 Memorial Union, phone: 573-882-5624, cell: 573-356-4983 or by email: hwanggo@missouri.edu. (Please let Christine know that you are from MU Libraries.)

I hope you will consider taking part in this exciting opportunity.

The opportunity to be ambassadors for the Korean teachers taking part in the TESOL event is not just for students. They would love to have MU Employees or anyone interested to take part.

Thanks,
Mark Ellis
