The Muse is published by the MU Libraries Staff Association (MULSA). It has been in existence in some form for over fifty years. For most of this time, it was produced on paper. Since Fall 2001 it has been produced primarily online, and its current editors are now experimenting with the blog format.

The purpose of the Muse blog is to bring together the creative contributions that express “the human side of working at the MU Libraries,” and bring MU Libraries folks together as creative people – writers, artists, photographers, cooks, puzzlers, appreciaters of art, music and literature, and participants in culture.

This is an appropriate venue to post your creative work in the form of stories, reviews and satire, as well as announcements of your outside-of-work activities that you feel might interest others (e.g. concerts, plays, etc. you or your family is participating in; campus presentations you attend; other local events). Post event information as a comment under the appropriate week’s Events post.
