INFORMATION ITEM: LMT discussed the latest version of the space renovation component of the Student Library Fee Proposal. Cyndi Curnutte of MU Space Planning and Matt Gaunt of MU Library Administration were in attendance for the discussion. One of the main goals of this review was for LMT to identify which portion of the renovation lends itself to being guided by student feedback. As we begin activities to get students involved in the campaign to pass a Library Fee, it is essential that they feel their thoughts and opinions have an impact on the design of areas that they use most, such as study and collaboration space.
ACTION ITEM: LMT resolved to review all Library Emergency Procedures and to initiate various drills in hopes that all employees know what to do in potential emergency situations. They will also reach out to the campus coordinators to ensure our procedures are consistent with the Specialty Libraries and the greater campus.
