Healthy for Life Update

DropIn Running Groups  and Walking Groups

Running Group: Sept. 9-Oct. 30, 5:30 p.m., Mondays & Wednesdays. Group is led by Tina Price. All levels are welcome for a 3 mile run. Run begins at Memorial Union Arch, weather permitting. Healthy for Life is coordinating walking groups, led by volunteer leaders from Ultramax Sports. We will offer two different paces, the “I’m just starting out, so don’t kill me pace,” and the “I’m really high strung and want to walk really fast pace.”  No registration is needed, join at any time, and all activity levels are welcome!  This is a free group designed to help you squeeze in a little extra activity into an otherwise sedentary day.  Starting August 26th we will meet at the following locations:

Memorial Union
Mondays 12:30-1 p.m.

West Side of the Pedestrian Bridge over College
Tuesdays 12:30-1 p.m.

Columns at the Quad
Thursdays 12:30-1 p.m.

School-Supplies-1

The school supplies were delivered to the Rainbow House, Friday Aug. 9th.  April Barnett, Rainbow House’s Marketing Director, was very pleased with our efforts and will be posting the attached pictures on the Rainbow House’s Facebook page. She was especially pleased with the number of backpacks sent.  That is an important item.  Also, please keep the conference bags and totes coming. They are very much appreciated.

Check out the list below of what WE collected.  It’s pretty awesome!  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
