Information About Your Wellness Incentive

In order to receive your $100 wellness incentive, you must have a health screening and complete the online wellness questionnaire. More information about this process  can be found in the Healthy for Life Update. If you have completed these steps (you must do so by April 30), see the information below about checking on the status of your incentive.

myChoice
If you are enrolled in myChoice (the lower-deductible plan) the Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) will be automatically set up. You can check the status of your $100 incentive by going to Coventry’s website, www.ummedcvty.com.

  • Set up your Coventry account: You’ll need your member ID number found on your Coventry card.
  • After creating your account: Click on Login or Register Now in the gray box that says, “My Online Services” on the right side.

Ø  Scroll over Benefits tab on the brown toolbar and then click on “Manage my HRA/HSA or Coventry Fund.”

Ø  Then, directly under “Manage Health Accounts,” click on My Coventry Consumer Choice Online or Coventry Fund Click Here.

Ø  On the left side, under “My Accounts,” is the word “more”. Clicking on this will show you the balance of $100 Wellness Reward.

  • Your health care provider visit: You will be responsible for any payments such as copays, deductible amounts, and/or coinsurance as usual. Coventry will then reimburse you for these amounts as they see them come through on claims. The reimbursement will accompany the EOB or if you receive your EOBs electronically, the check will be mailed.
  • Questions: Contact Coventry at 800-613-7721 or your Campus Benefit Representative.

myOptions
If you are enrolled in myOptions, (high-deductible plan), you will need to make sure that you have also enrolled for a Health Savings Account (HSA); otherwise, there is nowhere to place your incentive money. You can check the status of your $100 incentive by going to www.healthequity.com.

  • Set up your Health Equity account: You will need to click on Purple box that says “Activate Now.”
  • After creating your account: Click on Login box that says, and sign in.

Ø  Your HSA balance will show on the right side, under “Quick Stats.”

  • Additionally, you should be receiving a packet in the mail with full details about the HSA account along with your debit card.
  • Questions: Contact Health Equity at 877-372-5383.

Completion of Reference Collection Shift

Early last week, authorization was granted to move ceased titles of Reference indexes and abstracting sources to the three 202 study rooms—202H, 202I and 202J.  The following morning, that move was set in motion.  It is now complete.

Listed below are those indexes and abstracting sources that ceased publication, or subscriptions were cancelled.  Many of these print titles have been replaced by databases that now provide online access.  No dictionaries, encyclopedias or handbooks were included in this particular move.

The list is arranged by call numbers as they appear within the rooms in a continuous format, beginning in Room 202J and ending in Room 202H.  This is consistent with the sequence of the BIBLIO arrangement on the periphery in the outer large 202 reading room.  The list includes the last year of each publication, the amount of its shelf space and the new location in Bold, e.g., Room 202J.  Because each title now has a new location, MERLIN Catalog records will be changed, and new location labels will be applied to the physical volumes.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Regarding the main Reference collection, that shift to the new footprint was completed March 5.  Various individuals are to be commended for their outstanding work in the completion of this major part of the overall project:

Nicki Everett and Brent Willman – for the necessary prep work in shifting

Pat Jones and Julie Rogers – for securing areas for construction, especially Room 202

Al Messner – for providing the necessary components for shelf installation

MRI crew – for installation of shelves, anchoring shelf ranges, and the major part of the book shifting, including 202 study rooms

Cindy Cotner and Michaelle Dorsey – for producing labels

Felicity Dykas and her crew – for MERLIN Catalog changes

The new Reference area is the former location of Documents Lite.  Because the Reference shift is now complete, the collection in the new footprint is now open to the public.  Reshelving has also moved, now on the last south shelving range.

Disassembly of the shelf ranges in the old footprint has begun in order to provide open space for new carpet to be placed.  This area is closed to the public.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

In Documents, almost all of the print materials, microfiche cabinets and map cases have been moved, but some bulk items need to be positioned.  Many of the tables in front of the Documents office have been placed there temporarily, some of which will probably be relocated to the new carpeted area.  As usual, aesthetics and function will be the guidelines for table selection and arrangement.

“Food Sense” taking registrations
Join the MU Life Sciences & Society Program at its annual symposium “Food Sense,” Mar. 16-18, 2012 on the Columbia campus. The department’s website says this about the event:

“Can sensible eating be reconciled with the sensory gratification of taste? And where does our sense of a normal or a healthy diet come from? This symposium will investigate how our taste for food is shaped by biological triggers, cultural norms, economic activity, and social surroundings and will examine how individuals, communities, and societies can make healthy choices about food in this context. We will gather experts in nutrition, taste science, psychology, cultural studies, marketing analysis, and food-science journalism, as well as chefs, to explore why we eat the way we do.”
