There is a Swiss film company shooting a commercial film on the MU campus on August 18. They will shoot in Ellis Library around 4 p.m. Pat Jones is working with campus officials on this project. The Libraries will receive a small location and security fee from the film company.

Do they need any extras working as shelvers in the background? 🙂
Do we know what the film’s title is? And what part of the library?
No and no. Security may know the details of where they plan to shoot.
The film does not yet have a title, but it is a bio-pic on the life of Iris von Roten, a Swiss feminist who chose to come to Columbia in the 1950’s to write a book outlining her philosophy. Look her up via Google.
Mr. Cogswell, Thank You! I did take your advise and looked up Iris von Roten and she seems like an interesting person. Will you let us know the title when the information becomes available? It would be interesting watch if Netflix or the library can get a subtitled version.
