Workplace Fitness Opportunities
Take advantage of these classes that fit your budget. Full payment is due at the beginning of the first class and space is limited. Please contact the instructor directly to register or for questions. All classes are designed so that exercises can be performed in work clothes.

  • July 1-29: Yoga Flow Sampler. University Hospital, School of Nursing, Room N265. Class meets on Fridays from 12:10-12:50 p.m. and costs $15 for the five-week session. ‘Flowing’ can be between poses, or the simple movement of breath. A complete workout containing cardiovascular work, strength, and flexibility. A mat is recommended but not required. All levels are welcome. Try something new with no long-term commitment. Kudos to National Bike Month winner
Healthy for Life congratulates Susan Tharp of OSEDA! Susan won our prize drawing by biking to work during National Bike to Work Week (May 16-20). Don’t let the celebration end, sign up for the Ride to Wellness Odometer Program  to enjoy cycling this summer. We have odometers for $20 (payable by cash or check). Ride 500 miles and get your money back. If you already have an odometer, great. We will enroll you for FREE. By participating in the program, you’ll get prizes every 500 miles you ride. A Healthy 4th of July Cooking Class

The West Broadway Hy-Vee is hosting a $5 class to learn how to cook a healthy Independence Day meal on June 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Join Jessica Ellis, your Hy-Vee health and wellness specialist, as she brings tasty and simple recipes to life. Jessica will share nutritious recipes that won’t leave you missing your traditional holiday fare! Registration is required by calling 573-447-0133 or by email at jellis@hy-vee.com before June 29th.


Support Groups: Gluten–Free and Diabetes

The Rockbridge HyVee will be hosting a free support group for those interested in a gluten-free diet or those with celiac disease. Join Registered Dietitian Paula Vanderlicht from 2-4 p.m. on June 11.

At the same location, Paula will host a free diabetes support group from 10-11 a.m. on June 13. No RSVP needed for either event.
