Sheena Waggoner was inducted into PSI CHI the International Honor Society in Psychology for her recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement and excellence, and in compliance with all the requirements of the constitution and statutes pertaining to membership:
Graduate students shall have a minimum overall cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all graduate courses, including psychology.

Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.

Eat for Life Program-NOW ENROLLING
Discover the benefits of this innovative approach to weight management. This ten week program uses mind-body practices (meditations and yoga), the principles of mindful and intuitive eating, skills training, and group support to guide you in making lifestyle changes that will help you create a healthier relationship to your food, mind, and body. If you have a history of chronic dieting, have rigid “healthy” rules about eating, or find yourself eating when you’re stressed, bored, or unhappy, this may be the program for you.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program
The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program is an 8 week class that teaches skills for responding to stress with greater skill and creativity using formal mindfulness skills (meditation, yoga, body scan) and information about stress, communication, and wellness. Participants will be expected to engage in daily practice exercises outside of class. Orientation: Sept. 14 from 5:30-7 p.m.; Class: Tuesdays, Sept. 21-Nov. 9 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Full day retreat on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The cost is $40($20 refunded if you attend 7 of 8 classes). Half Marathon Class
This class is offered to all Mizzou staff and students who have a membership at the Recreation center.
Do you have a passion for running? Do you have the desire to run a half-marathon or a full marathon, but lack the knowledge and community to achieve this goal? Then the LHP Marathon Training course is for you! LHP offers the class five days a week: Monday thru Thursday, and Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Classes will start August 23 and go thru November 20 and will be 2 hours long, meet in Studio A. This will include warming up, stretching, running, weight training and cooling down. The course entails short & long distance running, hill training, and interval training, and focus on pace and endurance. This class is for runners of all skill levels because we offer beginning, intermediate, and advanced level training schedules. Cost is $59.

MU has entered an Intrastate Regional agreement with the University of Central Missouri (UCM) at Warrensburg. UCM will be the regional depository for U. S. Air Force documents; MU will remain the regional depository for all other federal agencies. Print Air Force documents we had classed in SuDoc and shelved in 1 East have been removed from the MERLIN catalog and will soon show up in UMC’s online catalog, QUEST. September 3rd marks the 6th annual College Colors Day, a tradition to promote school spirit and the start of college football season. Students, staff, alumni & fans are encouraged to participate by wearing their favorite BLACK and GOLD. Library staff are encouraged to wear their MU Libraries t-shirts.
