Task group on art in Ellis Library.
Ellis library presents many spaces appropriate for the display of art work and we have been approached by donors and others interested in donating or lending works to fill these spaces. This task group is charged with developing a policy to govern the display of art in the Ellis Library building. Items to be addressed include:
- Spaces appropriate for the display of art.
- Responsibility and guidelines for the selection of art.
- Security and insurance.
- Procuring and scheduling work for display.
I anticipate the task group would meet every other week for no longer than 8 weeks, beginning in August, to complete this task. If you are interested in serving with this group, please contact me at barkera@missouri.edu.
Task group on library internship
The English Department would like to include the option of a library internship as part of their program to help students explore career options. (See existing publishing internships at http://english.missouri.edu/special/pubinternsFS2009.html.) I invite those interested to join a task group to consider whether this is something we can offer and to develop a proposal for such a program. I anticipate the task group would meet every other week for no longer than 8 weeks, beginning in August, to complete this task.
