The library at the University of Southern Denmark recently discovered that 3 books in their collection have high levels of arsenic in their covers. The books date back to the 1500s and 1600s. Micro x-ray fluorescence discovered the poison while library personnel were trying to determine if the materials used to make the covers were old documents that could be read. What a surprise! :0
