Bookmarks as a Reference Tool for Difficult Topics

A branch of the public library in Pittsburgh, PA, has introduced several bookmarks to help patrons find resources on topics which they may be uncomfortable asking librarians about. These include bankruptcy, abuse, and alcohol, among others. The bookmarks include call numbers to help patrons locate materials in the stacks.

Chicago Tool Library

Chicago has a Tool Library! It is a private library with a membership fee (based on income), but members can borrow a variety or tools as well as a sewing machine, pasta maker, and 35mm camera!
