Apparently during the Victorian Era people would send mean-spirited Valentines, called Vinegar Valentines, to other people. Some were supposed to be funny, but some appear rather insulting. Quite an anti-Valentine’s Day gesture.
You can still help the State Historical Society document the pandemic, and there is a lot to document. Submit writings, photos, videos, artwork, etc. using the form here. Years from now, it will be interesting to look back on this period of life and see how day-to-day life changed and how we adapted.
