The first weekend in December is the traditional date for several church bazaars in the area. These are a great places to buy hand-crafted or vintage items for holiday gift-giving, and to put yourself in the holiday spirit!

The Sacred Heart Parish in Columbia will hold their 2010 Christmas Bazaar on Friday, December 3rd from 3-8pm & Saturday, December 4th from 8am-4pm in the Activity Building. There will be bakery items, arts & crafts, fashion jewelery, books, CD’s, quilts & much more. |

Calvary Episcopal Church’s famous St. Nicholas Advent Bazaar will be held this Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 from 8 AM to 1 PM at Calvary Episcopal Church on 9th Street, just across from the Missouri Theatre in the District. The event — which includes breakfast and a visit with Old St. Nicholas himself — is a holiday shopping and socializing extravaganza featuring the world-famous handmade Church Mice; books; children’s toys and games; white elephants; crafts; baked specialty items; and much more. Proceeds go to outreach and other charitable projects in the Columbia area. |
