Healthy older adults needed for research study

Healthy Older Adults Needed for Research Study

The goal of this study is to improve the prediction of speech decline in people with Lou Gehrig's disease by comparing them to healthy older adults. Currently, we are recruiting healthy adults between 60-90 years who have no history of voice, speech, or language problems. Participants will be required to complete two sessions within one week of each other and each session will last approximately 1 hour. Participants will be asked to read sentences in both sessions sometimes through a medical mask or with small electrodes attached to the lips, tongue, and jaw. Participants will receive $30.00 for participating in the two sessions. If you are interested, contact Jacob McKinley (jacobmckinley9@gmail.com; 884-9842) for more information.
