Why was the University of Canberra’s library evacuated?

Last week the library at the University of Canberra was evacuated due to the smell of gas. The culprit? Someone had left a durian in the trash. Apparently the smell of this fruit is so strong that it has been banned in some public places in Asia. A little over a year ago, another Australian university library had to be evacuated due to the fruit’s strong smell.
