ACRL Keynote Speakers Announced

The ACRL 2011 National Conference will feature three keynote speakers, who double as activists, filmmakers, authors, and television personalities:

  • Tiffany Shlain (Wednesday, March 30, 2011)
    Tiffany Shlain is an award-winning filmmaker, artist, Internet pioneer, and activist.
  • Raj Patel (Thursday, March 31, 2011)
    Activist, academic, and much-in-demand speaker, Raj Patel is an authority on the world economic system and the international food crisis.
  • Clinton Kelly (Saturday, April 2, 2011)
    A renowned fashion expert and author who specializes in helping individuals achieve personal and professional transformations, Kelly will discuss why we are often averse to change and how to turn this fear into positive action.

Maseles to Serve on IEEE Library Advisory Council

Judy Maseles has been appointed to the IEEE Library Advisory Council for 2010-2012.

By way of background, the IEEE established the Council over ten  years ago to get feedback on its products and product delivery.  Council members, approximately a dozen or more senior information professionals from government, academic and corporate libraries worldwide, have played an important role in shaping IEEE policies and new product offerings.
