MU Libraries Development Director

Nathan Marticke will be joining the Libraries’ development team March 5th as the Director of Development.  Nathan comes to us from William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri where he served as Regional Director of Development.  Nathan has nine years of experience working in fundraising.  In addition to William Jewel, he has worked at the University of Central Florida, Park University and Northwest Missouri State University, where he completed his undergraduate degree in marketing.  He also has a Master’s of Art degree in Communication and Leadership from Park University.

Open Meeting with Library Director of Development Candidate Nathan Marticke

All Library employees are invited to an open meeting with Library Director of Development Candidate Nathan Marticke, which will take place on Wednesday, February 1st, 12:30 – 1:30 pm, in 159 Ellis Library.

The meeting will include a 15 minute presentation by Mr. Marticke on Challenges and Opportunities in Fundraising for Academic Libraries.  The presentation will be followed by a question/answer session.

Brown Wins Photo Contest

Congratulations to Abbie Brown, the winner of  this year’s Development Birthday Card photo contest. Her photo will be featured on the 201s MU Libraries birthday cards. She also recived two Concert Series tickets for her efforts.

We plan on making this an annual event, so plan on submitting your Missouri photo at the end of next year.

 

MU Libraries Birthday Card Photo Contest

The MU Libraries development office sends birthday cards to many of our donors and supporters.

We are encouraging staff members to submit photos that highlight the state of Missouri. These photos need to be high-resolution and color.  The winning image will be used on our personalized birthday cards.

Please limit your submissions to five photos per person.

The photographer who submits the winning image will receive two Concert Series tickets or $25 gift certificate to the University Bookstore.

The deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2. Send submissions (or questions) to Shannon Cary at carysn@missouri.edu.
