April 27^th – May 2^nd The High School Music Festival will be on campus. To celebrate the music department will be placing a painted piano at the North west corner of the library. Let me know if you need any more information.

A water outage has been scheduled for Ellis Library and Ellis Library – 1987 Addition starting Wednesday, March 30 at 5:00 a.m. and turned back on at 8:00 a.m. the same day.  This outage is necessary to allow Campus Facilities personnel to make repairs to the building water system.  All water, including restrooms and fountains will be interrupted for the duration of the outage.This outage has been scheduled with the building coordinator to minimize disruptions to the activities in the building. In the interest of good communications however, we are alerting others who may have a need to know about this outage.Thank you for your patience as this necessary work is completed. The hours for the Bookmark Cafe next week are Monday, Nov. 23 & Tuesday, Nov. 24  7:30 am to 2:00 pm, & closed on Wednesday, Nov. 25.  The Wheatsone Bistro across the street at the Union will also be closed on Wednesday.

Thanks to campus facilities, MR, ISS Custodial services and Security, rooms 202 & 114 in Ellis Library are now open for our users.    

The Centennial banners for Ellis Library are scheduled to be installed on Tuesday, August 18^th. 

Access to the north entry should not be affected because most of the installation will be via ladder. Access to the west entry may be affected because much of this work is overhead and directly adjacent to the doors.

An electric outage has been scheduled for Ellis Library on Thursday, August 6th,  from 4:30 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. This outage is necessary to allow Campus Facilities personnel to work on the electric service to the building. This outage has been scheduled with the building coordinator to minimize disruptions to the activities in the building. Ellis Security will be on site.

Two new bottle filling stations have been purchased by the Student Fee Capital Improvement Committee and MU Libraries. One unit will replace the water fountain by the Bookmark Café, and the other replacement will be on the first floor east of the circulation desk.  

The work on Jesse Hall is due to be complete on Friday, May 15, and the projected date for beginning the move of our guests out of Ellis is July 13, starting with the Registrar’s Office. Financial Aid is due to move out the following week, so that Room 202 will be mostly clear aound July 27. The Admissions Office is due to vacate Room 114 during the week of July 27, so we will not be able to relocate into there before the week of August 3.
