Daylight Saving Time Ends This Weekend

Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2. That means you should change your clocks back one hour Saturday night before going to bed. It is also recommended that you use this as a reminder to change all batteries in fire alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

Endorsed by the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission, Chris Vallillo’s historically accurate program showcases period music directly associated with Lincoln using the president’s own stories and words to explore his life and  times and the issues he faced while in office. Not a requirement for attendees, but if you would like, dress in Civil War era clothing. The costume judged best will win a prize.

Annual Enrollment is Now Open

Annual Enrollment for benefit-eligible faculty and staff is open through Friday, October 31, 2014.  Go to myHR to begin selecting your medical and other insurance plans. You must select and submit a medical plan choice, or you and your currently enrolled family members will be defaulted to the Healthy Savings Plan for 2015 and pay taxes on the premiums. Wellness Incentive Activities

The Million Step Pedometer Program is a simple walking program designed to get faculty, staff and their families up and moving. Go at your own pace–no time limit applies. You are a success if you take more steps today than you did yesterday. Goodbye to Wayne Barnes

Wayne Barnes will be retiring from the University of Missouri. His last work day will be Monday, October 27. There will be a small reception in the East Reference offices on the 27th from Noon-3pm. Please stop by and wish Wayne well.
