Diane Johnson will present on how 1CATE (the open URL resolver) is being used in innovative ways. Rachel Brekhus will present on Zotero, an open source citation software program. Please plan to join us. Note that this is being held on a different date and time than usual.
Nora Tamm and Suzy Bent have joined the Usability Section of the Web Advisory Group.
The Office 2007 migration is in progress. We will be contacting staff members individually to schedule a time to migrate files and e-mail.
If you are interested in receiving training on Office 2007, you may register for a DoIT session at http://DoIT.missouri.edu/Training. If we get at least 8 people interested in getting training at once, we can get DoIT to have a custom course here in Ellis Library. LTS is also willing to have open labs to answer questions people may have.
I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers while I was away. My recovery is going well, and I hope to be back to full strength real soon.

LTS has provided Copy Services with Flash Drives that will be made available to patrons for $10 each. They are 512MB drives and are intended to help patrons save files from machines, such as the digital scanner machines, that are not connected to the network.
Don’t miss Nicola Benedetti’s free mini-performance and audience Q&A at the Colonnade by the west entrance of Ellis Library on the MU campus Wednesday at 1 p.m. Ms. Benedetti has been performing on the violin since age five. She recorded her debut album in 2005, which received critical acclaim and debuted at Number 1 on the British Broadcasting Company Music charts. She has since captivated audiences worldwide with her performances.

Adrienne Arden and June DeWeese have joined the Communications Committee. Their terms will run from January 2008 to December 2009.
