INFORMATION ITEM: The executive officers of the MU Librarians and Archivists Council met with LMT to discuss the document entitled: MULAC Report to LMT – May 2015: Possible actions in response to student vote on library fee, November 2015.
Executive Officers are Rebecca Graves, Chair; Sandy Schiefer, Vice-Chair/Chair Elect and Edward McCain, Recorder.
We look forward to welcoming Taira Meadowcroft, who will join our staff as Health Sciences Information Services Librarian on July 13. Taira just received her MLS from MU in May, and has worked as a Graduate Library Assistant at the Health Sciences Library Information Desk since September 2014. In her new role, in addition to providing reference services, she will be supervising the Information Desk Graduate Library Assistants and serving as liaison to our hospital, providing evidence based library support for hospital quality improvement initiatives. Taira just returned to the US from a vacation in England. So when you get a chance to meet and welcome her, you might also want to ask her about her trip
Please welcome Christianne Benedict to UMLD 2. Christianne will be working as a part time Library Information Assistant. Her first day was Wednesday, June 10, 2015.
