Browsers such as Safari or Firefox store files on your hard disk so that a webpage will load faster the next time you visit. However, it can become filled with extra and unnecessary files which could help run your computer short of hard disk space. It is imperative to delete browser cache once in a while to free up space on the hard disk.
As an example, a Firefox cache can be deleted by following these steps:
- In Firefox click Tools.
- Click Clear Recent History.
- From Time Range to Clear choose Everything.
- Click Clear Now.
- Close all Firefox windows.
