NEWS FLASH!!! It has just been reported that three new raffle prizes have been added to the already great stash of goodies being given away at the MULSA picnic. The three new additions are a pair of tickets to The Charlie Daniels Band, a pair of tickets to Ain’t Misbehavin’ and a pair of tickets to the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra. Each pair includes access to the reception/hospitality room. Raffle tickets are 50 cents each and can be bought from Mary Hainen and Cindy Cotner. Money from the raffle will go to the Mike Cook Medical Fund.
In May, Wayne Sanders attended NACO series training at the Library of Congress. This means that the Catalog Department is now able to add authority records for series to OCLC WorldCat. In addition, the Library of Congress incorporates these records into their authority file. Prior to this training we were only able to create local records for MERLIN. Now the series authority records we create will be used by libraries worldwide and will ensure consistency in the work we all do.
All MU Libraries’ employees are invited to attend with their immediate family. There is no cost or membership fee required to come to the picnic!
