NOTE: Books that you have checked out may be recalled

  • The Library reserves the right to recall all books after two weeks of use if requested by another MU borrower.
  • Materials needed for reserve may be recalled at any time. Students, staff, faculty, and courtesy borrowers are charged fines for overdue recalled books at the rate of $2.00 per day.
  • To avoid fines, please return recalled items by the new due date on the e-mail notice that is sent to you.

Document Retrieval: Request Materials Available in the MU Libraries

  • Distance Learning faculty, staff and students

     

    • MU Libraries will mail their books to MU Distance Learning faculty, staff and students.
    • See the MU Libraries Distance Learning Support Service page to see who qualifies for mail delivery and how to initiate the process.
    • Use the document retrieval service for electronic delivery of periodical articles, book chapters, proceedings, technical reports, government documents in the MU Libraries' collections.
  • University of Missouri-Columbia faculty, staff and students not located in mid-Missouri

     

    • Inquire (Ellis Interlibrary Loan Department, (573) 882-1101 or by email at ellisi@missouri.edu) to learn if you meet the qualifications for mail delivery of books.
    • Use the document retrieval service for electronic delivery of periodical articles, book chapters, proceedings, technical reports, government documents in the MU Libraries' collections.
  • Active and retired University of Missouri-Columbia faculty/staff, and currently enrolled students

Information necessary to retrieve the material:

  • Name of the book or journal
  • Title of the article or chapter
  • Author
  • Volume
  • Issue number
  • Date of publication
  • Page numbers
  • Call number (if known by the requestor)

To place requests:

Login to ILL@MU with your Pawprint User ID and Password, and select "Article Request" from the left navigation.
