Promotion Announcement

Congratulations to Karen Darling on her promotion to Librarian IV. Karen’s new title is effective September 1, 2011. This official validation by professional colleagues and the University administration recognizes performance and accomplishment and gives us opportunity to thank and applaud Karen for her contributions.

The Promotion Committee reminds those considering applying for promotion this year that the deadline for receiving dossiers is October 1. Dossiers can be submitted to any member of the committee. We are happy to encourage the professional development of our colleagues and look forward to hearing from you.

Promotion Workshop on April 19

The MU Libraries Promotion Committee has scheduled a workshop for April 19th at 9:00am in Room 159 Ellis Library.  This workshop will cover the promotion process and timeline, provide suggestions for crafting an effective dossier and answer any questions the candidates may have.  All Level I Librarians and any other librarian or archivist considering going up for promotion are encouraged to attend.
