• Rooms 4D11 and 4D12 will be under construction starting Oct. 28. There will be painting and electrical work done during this time. The work should be completed in approximately two weeks.
• Also on Oct. 28, work will be done to the ceiling on the ground floor by the reference elevator and the Security office. The ground floor restrooms will remain open but that area may be congested. This work is expected to last three to four days.

On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Ellis Library will be closed to public because the water will be turned off for major repairs of the plumbing system. The Library will be open for staff, but it is emphasized that there will be no plumbing, which means staff will need to use restroom facilites in other buildings on that day. Staff may want to discuss with their supervisors the possibility of taking a vacation day to avoid the inconvenience. Also, only the west entrance will be open for staff.

 

There will be a tailgate party for visiting Florida fans on Lowry Mall this Saturday morning until approximately 11:30 am. Because 300 fans are expected to attend and we would like to minimize use of our facilites by these fans, the front entrance to Ellis Library will be closed from 9 until 11:30 am. The west entrance will remain open for our patrons.

Campus Facilities will be renovating the men’s & women’s restrooms on the ground floor maybe starting Wednesday, December 26.  The estimated end date for this project is February 11.

The items in the restrooms they will be renovating are:

1. New counter tops in both restrooms
2. New sinks and fixtures
3. Painting the stall/dividers in both restrooms
4. Painting the ceramic wall tile in the women’s restroom
5. Painting the ceiling in both rooms
6. Doing a thorough cleaning in both restrooms
