L’antiquité expliquée et représentée en figures. Volume One.
|Published:||Paris : Florentin Delaune [and 6 others], 1722.|
|Description:||Bernard de Montfaucon, founder of the discipline of paleography, intended his multi-volume L’antiquité expliquée to cover all aspects of antuiquity. Rather than being an original work by Montfaucon himself, it brings together preexisting work by various scholars.|
|Condition/Repair:||Both covers are detached, along with the free endpapers, and there is damage to the corners of the covers. The covers will be reattached and their edges and corners will be retouched.|
