Observations on the language of the Muhhekaneew Indians

Description: Jonathan Edwards was the son of the famous New England clergyman by the same name. This short treatise is one of the earliest first-hand accounts of the Mohican language. Edwards explains its relationship to other Algonkian dialects such as Oneida and Iroquois.
Condition/Repair: The pamphlet has been stab-sewn into an acidic binder, making it very difficult to open. Pressure-sensitive adhesive tape was also adhered to the outer edges of each page. Remove tape and and stab-sewn binding, deacidify pages, and rebind as a pamphlet.
