Description: Appian of Alexandria was a prominent Roman historian of the 2nd century CE. He was of Greek origin and his principal work, the Rhomaika, was written in Greek. This Italian translation was printed by members of the famous Giunti family, who dominated printing in Florence throughout the 16th century.
Condition/Repair: The spine is entirely lacking and both boards and the first gathering are all detached. The conservator will reback the book in leather, preserving the original endpapers.
