Description: Cassini born at the Paris Observatory in 1677 succeeded his father as director in 1713, at only thirty four. He wrote astronomical texts, including one on the meridian and one concerning the satellites of Saturn. This book is a 1740 version of the satellites text, which has been updated and expanded to include information on Jupiter and other astrological bodies.
