Description: Hesychius was a Greek grammarian who lived towards the end of antiquity and produced one of the most thorough surviving lists of obscure and interesting Greek words. This 18th century edition was produced by the prominent Dutch printer Samuel Luchtmans. The Luchtmans printing business had been founded by Samuel's father, Jordaan, and survives to this day under the name Brill.
Condition/Repair: The hinges of both volumes, and especially the second, are splitting. There is black paint on the spine of both volumes. The conservator will reback with vellum and remove the paint from the spines.
