Circulation Policies

Loan and fine policies are established under the authority of the MU Libraries. The policies are on display at the Circulation Desk. Extended loans may be granted for the purposes of graduate or post-graduate research. Individuals may place holds on books that are checked-out to other patrons at other branch or UM libraries. Patrons may renew books twice:

    View your circulation record

  • Select “Renew/review items currently checked out.
  • Select items you wish to renew.
  • Click the “Renew Selected Items” button.

At the third renewal, the material must be brought to the library. Avoid using the renew all button which could affect your loan period.

Borrowing Privileges

All MU faculty, staff, and students, and MU Libraries card holders may borrow Math Sciences Library materials. Anyone may use the collection within the Library.

The Library reserves the right to recall all books after two weeks of use if requested by another borrower. Materials needed for reserve may be recalled at any time. All borrowers are charged fines for overdue recalled books at the rate of $2.00 per day.
