Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program

Obtain a Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program Card

MU Faculty members who are traveling to other research libraries that are members of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) who are also OCLC (Online Computer Library Center, Inc.) members may be eligible for a Reciprocal Faculty Borrower Card. That card permits faculty to use materials on the premises of those libraries and check materials out in person from those libraries.

Faculty members intending to visit participating libraries should contact Burt Fields, Ellis Library at FieldsBL@missouri.edu or call him at 573-882-9158 to discuss the criteria for obtaining a card.

Privileges vary from institution to institution. We are happy to check the OCLC Name-Address Directory for limitations and relevant policies and practices of the library you plan to visit.

To borrow materials from participating libraries, you must present your MU Faculty ID card as well as the Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Card and any other relevant identification required by the lending institution.
