  • The ERIC database provides access to the educational and related literature available in periodicals published worldwide and in the ERIC documents microfiche collection dating back to 1966.
  • Online ERIC collection
    • ERIC has been working to digitize the collection and provide the reports freely online. 
    • Approximately 55% of the collection has been digitized at this point.  
    • You can search ERIC online to see if the report you need is already digitized.
  • ERIC microfiche collection in Ellis Library
    • Includes reports and documents relating to education published between 1966-2004
    • Contains ERIC document numbers lower than ED 483 046.  Check ERIC online for document numbers ED 482 046 and higher.
    • Located on the first floor of Ellis Library on the north side of the Government Documents collection.
    • Organized by the ERIC Document number.  You can find this ED number in the citation from your search of the ERIC database.
    • If you have an EJ number you are looking for a journal article. Use Journal Finder to locate the journal containing your article.
  • Printing/Digitizing
    • A microform digitizer/scanner is available near the ERIC collection to view the microfiche and convert the documents to PDF for downloading or printing. 
    • Additional digitizer/scanners are located in Special Collections, 4th floor, East Ellis Library.
