Center for Research Libraries

The Center for Research Libraries (CRL) is a consortium of North American universities, colleges and independent research libraries.

  • The Center’s mission is to support advanced research and teaching in the humanities, sciences and social sciences by ensuring the survival and availability of the knowledge resources vital to these disciplines.
  • The consortium acquires and preserves newspapers, journals, documents, archives and other traditional and digital resources for research and teaching.

Faculty, staff and students at the University of Missouri-Columbia are able to borrow, via interlibrary loan, unlimited amounts of materials from CRL at no additional charge.

CRL’s processing time is quick. The Center’s turnaround time averages one business day for all routine requests. CRL delivers originals by 2-day UPS service and copies through the internet. For more information, please call the ILL Borrowing Office at (573) 882-1101 or email ellisi@missouri.edu
