The Antebellum period helped create the Southern religious thoughts that helped light up the Civil War and the religious reasonings that followed.
The Confederate States of America had many flaws in their culture. Many people claimed to be a "Christian," however they did not follow the words of the Bible. Instead, they skewed the words of the Bible and twisted them in order to fit their agenda. "A Narrative of Some of the Proceedings of North Carolina Yearly Meeting," is the speaking of a woke individual in the year of 1848 that recognized the potentially dangerous trajectory of the south.
