Pre War Power
The White Castle of Louisiana is a book written by a prominent plantation owner's daughter Cornelia Randolph. Though the author is listed as Ailenroc Cornelia is the actual author and listed her name backwards in order to publish the novel. This book shows the strength of the plantations pre-war through a first hand expierience of the time and documents many of the general luxuries these plantation owners enjoy. It depicts the grand rooms and vast exravagance that Cornelia and her family reside in. It undoubetedly documents how fortunate it was to be a plantation owner as large as this one. The White Castle of Louisiana mainly shows how tight of a hold the Southern plantations had on the south and how luxiourious these "castles" were. It helps to demonstrate the pre war times as well as the way people down south lived.
