Requests for books are generally received between 7:30AM and<br \/>\n8:30 AM. These items are sorted by their UMLD bar codes, the pulled from the storage module by a<br \/>\nmember of the staff. The items are then placed in transit status and sent on their way to their destinations.<\/p>\n<p>UMLD picks up new materials from other UM System libraries at University Courier each morning. Empty blue<br \/>\ntubs for each library are exchanged for the full ones at that time.<\/p>\n<p>UMLD makes a delivery to Ellis Library on the UMC campus every business day. From there,<br \/>\ncontracted courier services bring the books to the requesting UM System and affiliated libraries.<\/p>\n<p>Article requests are received by UMLD throughout the day. Requests from available items are generally sent<br \/>\nelectronically within 24 hours.
