Byron was instrumental in helping MU Libraries through its two disasters, particularly as they affected the Government Documents collection.&nbsp; Marie gave a congratulatory speech and presented Byron with an MU lapel pin on behalf of MU Libraries.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tByron Stewart was at MU from 1968-1980. In the late 1970s, he worked as a graduate library assistant under Sally Schilling in Ellis Library&#039;s Government Documents office. It was there that he met his future wife.
