{"id":9202,"date":"2015-09-18T19:43:59","date_gmt":"2015-09-18T19:43:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/newsnotes\/?p=9202"},"modified":"2015-09-18T19:43:59","modified_gmt":"2015-09-18T19:43:59","slug":"student-fee-working-group-91515","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/newsnotes\/2015\/09\/18\/student-fee-working-group-91515\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Fee Working Group, 9\/15\/15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tAttending: Jeannette Pierce, Brian Cain, Freddy Martinez-Garcia, Kat Stone, Bryce McDonald, Kimberly Moeller, Nav Khanal, Deb Ward, Cindy Cotner, Judy Maseles, Mark Ellis, Sheryl Cullina, Ann Campion Riley\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tAnn Riley convened the meeting and gave an update from Matt Gaunt:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tMatt has met with multiple student groups to promote the student fee.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tThe flyer is complete:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tOne thousand were ordered.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMatt plans to order a total of 5,000.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHe was waiting to see if the design might change a little with feedback<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHe has already received some.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tEllis Library Room 114 discussion.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tThe room was currently being prepared for student use again.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tCarpet has been replaced.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tPreviously used tables and chairs are being returned.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tRevisiting where the Student Fee Working Group was on a subcommittee related to this space:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tThere was previous discussion about using part of this room to showcase (have visual displays) of furniture and workstations possible if the fee passed.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWas going to seek feedback from students about specific topics. &nbsp;\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tAfter discussion it was established that a subcommittee from this team was called together to think about 114 and how part of it might work with the fee promotion.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tMembers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNav Khanal\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tKimberly Moeller\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMike Muchow\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGrace Adkins\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBryce McDonald (was added at this current meeting)\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe subcommittee will meet soon to work out how room 114 could be used to share visions of the room\/space.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPosters.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFurniture samples.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSome sort of digital representations.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tThe subcommittee is hoping to interface soon with Cyndi Curnutte from Campus Facilities.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tTo talk to vendors for sample products.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tTo possibly gain access to any design images or programs that Campus Facilities has on file that the Libraries could use to create visual products.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tActions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tAnn Riley said that she would email Cyndi to see if this group can work with her or someone from her department in the very near future.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tShe also said she would copy Dr. Bimal Balakrishnan, of MU Architectural studies, with whom the Libraries had also discussed space.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t&ldquo;I&rsquo;m In&rdquo;
