{"id":9086,"date":"2015-08-14T21:23:53","date_gmt":"2015-08-14T21:23:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/newsnotes\/?p=9086"},"modified":"2015-08-14T21:23:53","modified_gmt":"2015-08-14T21:23:53","slug":"information-and-action-items-from-library-management-team-81115","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/newsnotes\/2015\/08\/14\/information-and-action-items-from-library-management-team-81115\/","title":{"rendered":"Information and Action Items from Library Management Team 8\/11\/15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tINFORMATION ITEM: Ann Campion Riley welcomed the new members of LMT:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tBudget\/Library Finances &ndash; Ellen Blair\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tSecurity and Facilities &ndash; Pat Jones\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tTechnology &ndash; Ernest Shaw\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tHuman Resources &ndash; Sheryl Cullina\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tCorrie Hutchinson joins LMT as the acting head of ACTS.\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\tThese members will be very useful to quickly discuss and communicate any operational issues as they come up during the meeting.&nbsp; As before LMT will invite other stake holders to meetings as needed.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tINFORMATION ITEM: LMT discussed two agenda items that they would like to send to Library Assembly:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tCollection Steering Committee report &ndash; to better acquaint the assembly with their role.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tLibrary Policy Review &#8211; two policies per meeting to review and consider updating or deleting.<br \/>\n\t\t&nbsp;\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\tINFORMATION ITEM: There has been some movement on the proposal to complete the UMLD phase II addition. The detailed building plans are being updated to submit with a formal proposal.&nbsp; The new plans will include space for preservation work and a digitization lab.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<br \/>\n\tINFORMATION ITEM: Centennial Kick-Off will be September 23<sup>rd<\/sup> in Lowry Mall. Jim Cogswell will announce at the all-staff meeting, Thursday.
