\n\tHoney, an award-winning distinguished professor, recounts the life of John Handcox, his work as an organizer for the Southern Tenant Farmers’ Union, and songs he used to tell the stories of laborers badly in need of an organization to negotiate on their behalf. Honey provides an unusual
\n\tlecture format by combining the narrative, based on oral history, with an accompanying musical performance.
