Attached is a list of all the upcoming events, along with a User Guide to assist you with the process. Some states that saw earlier increases in flu activity are now beginning to see decreases. Other states are continuing to see high levels of flu activity or are seeing continued increases in activity. Flu activity is likely to continue for several more weeks. Anyone aged 6 months and older who has not gotten a flu vaccine yet this season should get one now, especially if they are in a part of the country where activity began more recently. All flu vaccines are designed to protect against 2009 H1N1 viruses which are the most common flu viruses so far this season. It&#039;s also important that people at <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/flu\/about\/disease\/high_risk.htm\" style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 1.6em\" >high risk<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 1.6em\"> for serious flu complications who develop flu-like symptoms or anyone with severe illness consult a health care provider to see whether influenza <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/flu\/antivirals\/whatyoushould.htm\" style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 1.6em\" >antiviral drugs<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 1.6em\"> might be needed.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<br \/>\n\t<u style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 1.6em\">February is American Heart Month<\/u><br \/>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 1.6em\">February is American Heart Month. &nbsp;Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women, but heart disease is preventable and controllable. &ldquo;Coronary heart disease occurs when a substance called plaque builds up in the arteries that supply blood to the heart. Coronary heart disease can cause heart attack, angina, heart failure, and arrhythmias&rdquo; (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2013). &nbsp;Healthy for Life wants you to know that there are things you can do to plan for prevention. Start by taking small steps toward healthier lifestyle choices and managing any current medical conditions you may have.
