{"id":5674,"date":"2012-11-09T12:53:58","date_gmt":"2012-11-09T18:53:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mulibraries.missouri.edu\/newsnotes\/?p=5674"},"modified":"2012-11-09T12:53:58","modified_gmt":"2012-11-09T18:53:58","slug":"holiday-food-drive-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/library.missouri.edu\/newsnotes\/2012\/11\/09\/holiday-food-drive-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Holiday Food Drive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MULSA will be sponsoring a food drive and contest to benefit the <strong>Columbia Area Food Bank<\/strong>, as well, as <strong>Second Chance<\/strong> (for animals), beginning Friday November 16<sup>th<\/sup> and culminating on Thursday, December 13<sup>th<\/sup>, just before the Winter Holiday Party.\u00a0 A raffle will be conducted this year.\u00a0 One ticket given for each non-perishable food item (3-5 tickets for large bags of dog food or kitty litter); $1.00 = 2 tickets (example: $10 = 20 raffle tickets).\u00a0 Over the next four weeks we encourage library staff to bring in and donate non-perishable food items, or, if you prefer, cash. A drop off area will be in the Acq. Dept. by Sue Barnes\u2019 desk area.\u00a0 Branches, if you are unable to deliver your items, Sue will make arrangements to have them picked up.\u00a0 The raffle winner will be announced at the Winter Holiday Party, the prize being a University Book Store gift card.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions please contact Sue Barnes (Acq.
